Google just dropped the June 2026 edition of Gemini Drops, and it’s a solid mix of genuinely useful tools and fun seasonal content.

Soccer season templates
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup on the horizon, Gemini is rolling out up to 12 soccer-themed image templates. You can generate custom trading cards, murals, cartoons, and more using the Nano Banana 2 model. Official jerseys are available in select countries.
Standard rep your country stuff, but the template quality in Nano Banana 2 has been steadily improving. The output is actually usable for profile pics and social banners.
Create images in real-time with Gemini Live
The headline feature is a big expansion of Gemini Live. You can now create images of your surroundings in real-time just by talking to Gemini. Point your phone at something, describe what you want to create, and Gemini generates images based on what it sees.
This is more than just voice-to-image with extra steps. The live camera context means you can iterate on concepts grounded in your actual environment. Decorating a room? Show Gemini the space and describe the look you are going for. Working on a project? Frame the materials and Gemini can generate mockups based on what is actually in front of you.

Connect your business to Gemini
The business updates are another big piece of this drop. You can now connect your Google Business Profile directly to Gemini, as announced on the Google Blog.
Once connected, Gemini becomes an AI assistant that actually knows your business context, including customer reviews, performance data, and customer questions.
What does that look like in practice? Ask Gemini how your business did this month and it pulls your actual search impressions, direction requests, and call data to give you a real answer. Ask for help responding to a customer review and Gemini drafts a response in your brand voice that references the specific feedback.
There is also a new Business notebooks feature that keeps your chats, sources, and Google Business Profile data in one place. It proactively surfaces things like unanswered customer questions or holiday hours that haven’t been set yet.

Smarter app discovery
Gemini can now recommend Android apps based on your requests and take you straight to the Google Play download page. Ask Gemini for a good habit tracker or something to edit photos and it points you to specific apps with context on why they fit your needs.
Small quality-of-life addition, but it saves the back-and-forth of searching the Play Store manually.
Thinking Levels go cross-platform
One more thing in this drop: Gemini’s Thinking Levels, which let you dial up or down how much reasoning the model applies to your request, are now available across Web, iOS, and Android. Previously limited to one platform, this makes the experience consistent no matter where you use Gemini.
Bottom line
This is one of the stronger Gemini Drops in recent months. The Gemini Live image creation opens up a genuinely new interaction pattern, the business tools turn Gemini into something that knows your actual data instead of starting from zero every time, and the soccer templates are a nice seasonal bonus.
The business features alone make this drop worth updating the app for if you run a local business. The Gemini Live expansion is going to be more interesting once people start finding creative uses for it, but the foundation is solid.
