Happy Gilmore 2 Trailer Debuts at Netflix Tudum

The wait is over, folks! After nearly 30 years since the original Happy Gilmore became an instant comedy classic, Netflix has finally dropped the first official trailer for Happy Gilmore 2 — and it looks like Happy is back in action with that iconic swing and plenty of unfinished business.

Set to premiere on July 25, 2025, the highly anticipated sequel stars Adam Sandler reprising his beloved role as the hot-tempered, hockey-stick-swinging golf prodigy. And yes, Shooter McGavin (Christopher McDonald) is back too, still talking trash like it’s 1996. Add in returning fan-favorite Julie Bowen as Virginia and you’ve got the core cast reunited and ready to party on the green.

But wait, there’s more. Happy Gilmore 2 is absolutely stacked with cameos and fresh faces, including Ben Stiller, Bad Bunny, Travis Kelce (yes, the NFL star), and even real-life golf legends like Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas. It’s a crossover of sports, comedy, and pop culture chaos — and we are 100% here for it.

Netflix unveiled the trailer at their 2025 Tudum event, and it did not disappoint. There’s a lot to unpack: Happy looking a bit older but still fired up, a new crop of rivals, plenty of swing-screaming, and even a hilarious scene where Travis Kelce accidentally clocks Happy in the head.

When and Where Can You Watch?

Mark your calendars — Happy Gilmore 2 hits Netflix on July 25, 2025. It’ll be a streaming-only release, so no need to dust off your golf shoes or hit the theater.

We knew it was coming, but seeing the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer in all its glory has us pumped. Whether you’re here for the nostalgia, the cameos, or just want to see if Happy still has his drive, this is shaping up to be one of Netflix’s biggest comedy releases of the year.

Stay tuned, because we’ll be reviewing the movie as soon as it drops. In the meantime, go rewatch the original and start practicing your run-up swing — just in case.
