• Secure OAuth Login: You authenticate directly through SmugMug’s official login flow. Your password is never stored.
• Rebuilds Your Exact Album Hierarchy: The tool mirrors your entire SmugMug structure on your local machine automatically.
• Resumable Downloads: If the process stops for any reason, the tool detects what’s already downloaded and continues without duplicating files.

How to Set It Up

1. Configure Your API Keys

• Open the secrets.ini file included with the tool
• Go to the SmugMug Developer Console and get your API Key and Secret
• Paste them into secrets.ini and save

2. Run the App and Connect

• Launch SmugMugBackupPro.exe
• Click “Login with SmugMug”
• Approve the application and get your PIN
• Paste the PIN back into the app and click “Verify”

3. Scan and Backup

• Click “Scan Library” (button turns teal when ready)
• Select the albums you want
• Click “START BACKUP”
• Let it download and rebuild your library automatically
