The Apple Watch Series 11 just dropped to $279 on Amazon for Prime Day. That is $120 off the $399 list price, making this the lowest price I have seen on Apple’s latest smartwatch.
If you have been waiting for a reason to upgrade from an older Apple Watch, this is it.

What You Get at This Price
The Series 11 is Apple’s current-gen smartwatch. At $279, you are getting the same hardware that launched at $399 earlier this year.
The always-on display is the big quality-of-life upgrade over older models. You can glance at your watch without wrist-flicking, which sounds minor until you live with it.
Health tracking covers sleep score, heart rate, blood oxygen, wrist temperature, and irregular rhythm notifications. The fitness rings still work exactly as well as they always have, which is to say dangerously addictive.
Battery life sits at around 18 hours with normal use. That is enough to get through a full day with overnight sleep tracking, but you will need to charge it every morning. Not ideal, but it is the reality of always-on smartwatches.
The 42mm size works well for most wrists. If you want the bigger screen, the 46mm GPS model is $309 (was $429), which is also a solid deal.
What Makes This Deal Worth Jumping On
Apple rarely discounts the current-gen watch this aggressively during its first Prime Day. The Series 10 hovered around $329 during last year’s sales. Getting the Series 11 at $279 undercuts that.
This is also the GPS-only model, which means no monthly cellular fee. For most people, GPS is all you need. Your watch connects to your iPhone for notifications, music, and calls when your phone is nearby.
If you are upgrading from a Series 7 or older, you will notice the faster chip, the brighter display, and the improved health sensors. The jump from Series 9 or 10 is smaller, but at $279 the price gap makes it worth considering.
What Is Not Great
The battery life is still 18 hours. Apple has not meaningfully improved this across several generations, and if you are coming from a Garmin or other sports watch, it will feel limiting.
The Light Blush Sport Band is fine but not premium. If you want a better band, budget another $30-50 for a third-party option.
Cellular is not included. If you want to leave your phone at home during runs, you need the GPS + Cellular model, which costs more and requires a carrier plan.
Bottom Line
The Apple Watch Series 11 at $279 is the best deal on Apple’s current smartwatch right now. You get the latest health features, always-on display, and deep iPhone integration at a price that rarely drops this low.
If you have been on the fence, Prime Day is the time to pull the trigger. This deal will not last beyond the sale.
