Ryan Sickler – Lefty’s Son released on April 5th, 2023, and it’s a fantastic addition to his body of work. Filmed at The Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles in December 2022, Sickler’s storytelling abilities are on full display as he takes the audience on a hilarious journey through topics such as the benefits of weed over alcohol, wild Uber drivers, and the challenges of being a single parent.

One of the standout moments from the special is when Ryan shares the story of the most scared he’s ever been, which is both hilarious and relatable. Throughout the special, his delivery is spot-on, and his ability to connect with the audience makes for a truly memorable experience.

As a bonus, Sickler has made the special available for free on YouTube, a trend that more and more comedians are embracing. Additionally, fans can catch him live on tour in 2023, with upcoming shows in Fort Wayne, IN on May 26th and 27th, Tacoma, WA on June 23rd and 24th, and Appleton, WI on July 7th and 8th.

For fans of Sickler’s work, his podcast, “The HoneyDew,” is another must-listen. Recently included in my roundup of the 5 best podcasts of 2023, it’s a testament to Sickler’s ability to connect with his audience and create compelling content.

Overall, “Lefty’s Son” is a must-watch for fans of comedy, and Sickler’s ability to make his audience both laugh and feel a deep connection is truly impressive. I highly recommend this special and give it a 4.5-star rating.
