The Apple Magic Keyboard with USB-C is down to $79.99 on Amazon right now. That’s not a flash sale that comes and goes — this deal is the lowest price the keyboard has ever hit on the platform.
This is the full-size white model with the USB-C charging port. No Touch ID, no numpad, just the cleanest keyboard Apple makes for your desk. It pairs instantly with any Mac, holds a charge for about a month, and replaces the Lightning model that was already good but now finally uses the cable everything else in your bag uses. If you are building out your productivity desk setup, this keyboard belongs on it.
I have been using this keyboard for the last six months and honestly, it is one of those things you stop thinking about after the first day — which is the highest compliment I can give a keyboard. The scissor-switch mechanism feels crisp, the key travel is shallow but precise, and it disappears into your workflow in a way that cheap mechanical keyboards never do.

Amazon has it at $79.99, down from the $99 list price. That is a 19% savings on a product that rarely drops below $85. The post-Prime Day window is still holding on some Apple accessories, and this is one of the ones worth grabbing before it snaps back.
What I Like About It
The USB-C port is the headline here, and it matters more than you think. The old Magic Keyboard used Lightning, which meant keeping a separate cable on your desk just for the keyboard. This one charges with the same USB-C cable you use for your MacBook, iPad, and everything else. One less cable to think about.
Battery life is excellent. Apple says a month, and in my experience that is accurate with normal daily use. When it does run low, a two-minute charge gives you enough juice for hours of typing. You will probably forget it even needs charging until the low-battery alert pops up.
The build quality is vintage Apple. A single slab of aluminum with perfectly uniform key backlighting, zero flex, and just enough weight to stay put on your desk. It is 279 grams — light enough to toss in a bag, heavy enough to feel substantial.
What Is Not Great
No Touch ID on this model. If you want fingerprint unlock, you need the $179 version with the numeric keypad. That one is also on sale but at more than double the price, the value calculation is different.
The white color shows dirt faster than the space gray version. If you eat at your desk, get a can of compressed air and make peace with wiping it down every couple of weeks.
And obviously, this is for Mac users. It works with iPad too, but if you are on Windows, look elsewhere.
Bottom Line
At $79.99, this is the cheapest the Apple Magic Keyboard has ever been on Amazon. It is a no-brainer if you use a Mac and have been putting off the USB-C upgrade. The deal is live now, and based on how fast the post-Prime Day inventory is moving, it probably will not last at this price.
